Ms. Anita Eliasson has been appointed to the newly-formed ELIXIR Industry Advisory Committee. She joins fellow scientific and technical experts across users, suppliers, SMEs and publishers providing strategic industrial advice to the ELIXIR Board.
ELIXIR (the European Life-sciences Infrastructure for Biological Information) is an initiative that will allow life science organizations across Europe to share and store their research data as part of a structured network. Its goal is to unite Europe’s leading life science organizations to help coordinate the collection, quality control and storage of large amounts of biological data produced by their research. ELIXIR aims to ensure that biological data is integrated into a centralized system and can be easily accessed by all facets of the scientific community.
“I am delighted to have been selected as a member of the advisory committee for an initiative that is builing a sustainable infrastructure for European life science data,” commented Ms. Eliasson. “Joining this group of fellow advisors is an honor and I look forward to working alongside them in supporting life science research and its translation to medicine, agriculture, bioindustries and society.”
Ms. Eliasson is one of the co-founders of BC Platforms and an experienced entrepreneur and business manager, with expertise in the set-up and management of ICT and life science companies.
