BC Platforms, a world leader in providing powerful genomic data management and analysis solutions, today announced the appointment of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), North America, Weston Fox to its Management Team. Mr. Fox, who has extensive experience and networks in Healthcare and Life Science, will work closely with the company’s established commercial team, to lead the business development activities in the North America region.
BC Platforms’ North America strategy includes a strong Precision Medicine focus both in healthcare delivery, as well as Life Science research. Genomics is becoming a mainstream solution for improved clinical decision-making as well a key data element in Pharmaceutical research work. In parallel, BC Platforms’ objective is to provide the genomic IT infrastructure to build access to the real world data combined with genomics, representing North America´s rich multi-ethnicity. Mr. Fox will have important role in the enablement of new partner models with leading institutions in the North America ecosystem, which is essential in establishing world-leading genomic data management and interpretation infrastructure.
Mr Fox’s career advancements have been tightly connected with the impact of Precision Medicine, from leading Life Science companies to being accountable for transformational healthcare initiatives. Most recently, Mr. Fox was a Healthcare Operating Partner at the University of Virginia Licensing & Ventures Group, where he led commercial activities for new start-ups on NGS technologies. Previously, he served as a Vice President at TARGET PharmaSolutions, which is a real-world clinical data company providing pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners ways to generate data in the real-world setting. He also led enterprise-wide strategic initiatives within the Global Development Operations (GDO) organization at Novartis. Prior to that, Weston led global pharmaceutical client development at Quintiles (today IQVIA) structuring strategic partnerships and overseeing sales activities across all service lines for select key accounts.
